College Name Standards
- Primary name and first use is “William States Lee College of Engineering”
- Informal and subsequent references may be “W.S. Lee College of Engineering,” “W.S. Lee College” or “College of Engineering” (primarily used immediately after “UNC Charlotte”)
- The word “the” may be used in plain language (Ex: “Therefore, the W.S. Lee College is leading higher education in battery safety research.”)
- “LCOE” may be used as an internal-only abbreviation, but abbreviations overall are not to be used with external audiences.
