M.S. in Construction and Facilities Engineering

In our Master of Science in Construction and Facilities Engineering program, you will complete 30 credit hours, including a 9-credit-hour common core and a custom capstone experience tailored to your goals. You can choose a non-research track featuring 21 credit hours of electives, or a research-focused track that includes 15 credit hours of electives, the CMET 6160 course (3 credit hours) and a formal graduate research thesis (6 credit hours).

M.S. in Fire Protection and Safety Management

To earn your M.S. in Fire Protection and Safety Management, you will complete 30 credit hours beyond your bachelor’s degree, starting with a foundational core course in Industrial Safety (MFPA 5223). From there, you will tailor your degree by selecting a specialized concentration pathway in either Fire Administration or Occupational Safety, paired with targeted electives that match your professional goals.

You will also choose the culminating experience that best fits your career path. If you select the thesis option, you will complete 6 credit hours of directed research (MFPA 6900). If you prefer the non-thesis option, you will focus entirely on formal coursework and complete a comprehensive exam during your final semester.
