Mini Carolinas Conference
The Mini Carolinas Conference, or MC², is Charlotte Engineering’s hands-on version of the college-level Carolinas Conference. High school students are invited to spend a full day exploring engineering through interactive competitions, lab tours and opportunities to meet our current students and faculty.
The competition day typically lasts from 8:15 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. and includes a pizza lunch for all students and teachers. Spaces are limited, so register your class and provide your student list as soon as possible, first come, first served.
Photos and videos of your students may be captured during the MC^2 event and used by the University in public communications. You agree that all students may be photographed unless prior arrangements are made with Kelly Anderson at kellyanderson@charlotte.edu at least three weeks before the event.
2026 Timeline
Mid-September: Application Opens
End of September: First set of acceptances and waitlisted sent out, rolling after. Acceptances will include student registration link and team form.
October 23: Teams (of 6), student registration, and any photo opt outs due
November 6: Event 8:15 a.m.– 1:45 p.m.
